Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement

Ases International Journal of Agriculture is a non-profit, peer-reviewed, internationally indexed academic journal publishing articles in all disciplines of agriculture, veterinary sciences, food engineering, and related fields. The publication process is based on the objective production, development, and dissemination of information through double-blind peer-reviewed articles, ensuring the application of the scientific method and impartiality.

All stakeholders, including the publisher (or authorized institutions), editors, authors, reviewers, and readers, must adhere to publication ethics and policies. If fabricated or falsified data are detected in research, the issue will be formally reported to the author’s institution and the manuscript will be rejected. Editorial Board members and/or reviewers reserve the right to request raw data from authors.

Editorial Board
The Editorial Board consists of experts from various disciplines within agricultural sciences and related fields. An editor-in-chief and two associate editors are appointed. The editor may assign manuscripts to external experts if necessary.

Responsibilities of the Editorial Board

  • Ensure content complies with publication ethics according to Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.

  • Manage the peer review process of all submitted articles.

  • Independently decide on the publication of articles based on scientific merit and public interest.

  • Maintain editorial independence from the publisher and other parties.

  • Aim to enhance the journal’s scientific quality.

  • Determine and implement journal policies (publication, peer review, evaluation, ethics, etc.).

  • Keep records of each article electronically or in print.

Ethical Responsibilities of Editors and Associate Editors

  • Address the needs of authors and readers transparently.

  • Ensure manuscripts are original and contribute to literature and practice.

  • Implement the peer review process, maintain reviewer anonymity, and ensure objective evaluations.

  • Protect personal data of authors, reviewers, and readers.

  • Ensure protection of human and animal rights; require informed consent and ethics committee approvals when necessary.

  • Take precautions against misconduct; conduct objective investigations and share findings when required.

  • Protect intellectual property rights of published articles and defend the rights of the journal and authors in case of violation.

Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • Accept only manuscripts relevant to their expertise.

  • Review impartially and confidentially, without bias related to nationality, gender, religion, politics, or commercial interests.

  • Inform the editor and decline the review if any conflict of interest arises.

  • Provide constructive feedback, avoiding derogatory or personal comments.

  • Evaluate manuscripts based on the journal’s author guidelines and templates.

Ethical Responsibilities of Authors

  • Submitted manuscripts must be original and not previously published.

  • Manuscripts should not be under simultaneous review elsewhere.

  • Authors guarantee that their work does not infringe any existing copyrights.

  • Provide raw data and ethical approvals when requested by editors.

  • Present evidence of ethical data collection and approvals within the manuscript.

  • Ensure compliance with national and international guidelines if human or animal subjects are involved.

  • Cite sources appropriately and submit a plagiarism report (overall similarity below 20%, single-source similarity below 3%).

  • Inform the editor of any errors detected post-submission and cooperate in corrections or retractions.

  • Complete reviewer-requested revisions within one year; failure results in rejection and no further resubmission.

Reporting Inconsistencies with Publication Ethics and Policies
Any unethical situation observed during review or post-publication should be reported to the editor.

Articles published in this journal are permanently free for everyone to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts.
